Geoff started lighting in his teens with theatre. From the stage he went to Vancouver Film School, graduating in 1995. After that, it was working in the lighting rental houses during the week and gaffing for music videos on the weekends for the next five years. In 2000, Geoff started gaffing for commercials full time, lighting with cinematography masters like Newton Thomas Sigel, Bojan Bazelli, Salvatore Totino and the late Harris Savides. In 2010, Geoff began working exclusively as a director of photography. Although a large part of his work is in the commercial world, he has also done TV, documentaries, including recent hit “I am Chris Farley”, and numerous short films. Geoff loves every aspect of this amazing industry, the people in it and the wonderful places it takes you.
